Music is Influential 

Music is influential. When someone wants to set the mood, for example work out, they tend to listen to music that will put them in the mood to do so. What we have to understand though, is that music has a spiritual meaning behind it. Regardless of how innocent the song might sound, if it isn’t for God then it who is it serving?

Music Carries Spirits

I now create music for God, Yahuah, but I use to be a rap artist for the world. My music spoke primarily pushed lust, profanity, partying, clubbing, drinking, smoking, selling, violence and the list goes on. Now that I fully live for Christ, Yahshua, I see the damage that my music brought and I’ve repented with tears in my eyes; because being apart of the problem is not who I want to be.

When we listen to worldly music (music that does not glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth); then we put ourselves in spiritual danger. Why? Because spirits can be transferred to a person through music. How? When we open our ear gates and eye gates to sin, such as listening and singing/rapping to the lyrics of these worldly songs, a person is then giving the enemy legal rights to their lives, causing even more destruction, furthermore leading them to sin. Some music artist admit that their fans will go to hell if they are listening to their music. Worldly music is demonic.

Nursery Rhymes 

 Let’s take the nursery rhyme, “Rock a Bye Baby” to be used as a quick example. The lyrics are as follows; (I rebuke these lyrics and do not come in agreement with them) “Rock a Bye Baby on the tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock, down will come baby cradle and all…” Lets just use common sense for one second. This song is clearly not something you would want to sing to your baby about; and that being the baby falling out of a tree. This sounds more like an enchantment (witchcraft) rather than a soothing song to sing to a little child for comfort.

Lyrics Matter

The lyrical content in which a person writes or sings can open them up to demonic attacks if it comes from a demonic origin. Anything outside of Christ is already questionable. Words are powerful and holds weight, so we have to be careful what we are releasing into the airwaves with not just our physical mouths but also with our hearts.
